Abc - Obamas Convention Opens Tonight

The Democratic National Convention is referable to open tonight (Monday), but with Barrack Obama already established as the party's presidential nominee and Joe Biden it's vice-presidential, some writers were asking whether the convention -- as comfortably as the upcoming Republican one -- doesn't just amount to a political infomercial. Others were doubting the motivation for a political convention at all. Drama was building over whether ailing Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy would attend to tonight's (Monday) session. The Boston Herald quoted his son Patrick as saying that his father wants to attend a plotted tribute that is to be staged for him tonight. Meanwhile, ABC News is victimization the convention to launch the expansion of its news computer programing into HDTV. Not only will it carry the conventions in HDTV, merely also its World News With Charles Gibson, Nightline, Primetime and 20/20.

Noel Gallagher: 'O2 Arena Not Rock'N'Roll Enough For Oasis'

Oasis guitar player Noel Gallagher has revealed that the reason the band have omitted the O2 Arena from their forthcoming UK tour is because it's not rock'n'roll enough.

Gallagher as well said he thought the venue was too corporate for the band's October dates.

I went there for Led Zeppelin - it was good, but in that location were people walking about with nachos, it's non rock 'n' roll, he told the BBC.

Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Oasis would preview their new record album, 'Dig Out Your Soul', during a huge residency at the venue.
